So, I shot a wedding last weekend and right when the ceremony was about to start, we discovered that the ring bearer was no where to be found! It got a bit frantic for a couple minutes but we ended up finding him hiding behind a curtian nearby. Is this enough to craft an email from?

The Email
Subject: The day a ring bearer vanished
Ever found yourself in a room where the air is thick with anticipation? You know, that crackling energy you get when something big’s about to go down?
That was the mood at the Hudson wedding, right before the ring bearer—a pint-sized, tuxedo-clad nephew—decided it was the perfect moment for a spirited game of hide and seek.
There I was, Kimba Treenstra, moments away from snapping the rings getting cozy on the couple’s fingers, when this little human mascot of mischief vanishes. Poof! Like a magic trick without the grand finale. Every eye in the place is darting around, whispering like leaves in a breeze, “Where’s Tyler?”
The flowers are in full bloom, the violinist is mid-string serenade, and I’ve got a camera in hand that’s itching to tell a story. Does panic set in? Nope. That’s not how we roll at Photographic Expressions. Instead, my lens is on standby, ready to capture life, raw and unfiltered.
The hunt for our diminutive escapist takes a turn when I spot a pair of shiny black dress shoes poking out beneath a curtain. Click. The moment the curtains part to reveal a pair of wide, innocent eyes, it’s magic. Click. When the ring makes its big comeback on a plush pillow held by a sheepish, yet grinning, adventurer. Click, click, click. Laughter fills the hall, and just like that, a hiccup turns into the heart of the story.
That photo, with all its perfect imperfection, later became the couple’s favorite. A snapshot that didn’t just still a moment in time, but encapsulated the essence of their day—unexpected, joyful, real. It’s what I do at Photographic Expressions.
